My name is Rafael Moura and I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Sao Paulo is a very populated city. It is the second most populated city in the world. I moved here to the United States about a year and a half ago. I did live here before when I was four years old because my dad came here for his masters at Dallas Theological Seminary. I went back to Brazil when I was eight and lived there ever since. I am loving my time here in the U.S. It is very different from back home. It is weird to be so far from the beach and the food is very different as well. It has been nice meeting new people and being in a different place.

Seminary was the last place I wanted to be. Two of my Brazilian aunts (mom’s sisters) also attended this school and got married to my uncles that also went to this school. Like I stated before, my dad went to D.T.S. I grew up hating the church and anything that had to do with it. I thought that going to Seminary was a waste of time but here I am. I became a Christian in 2002 and things changed. I look around sometimes and still can not believe that I am here. God does work in mysterious ways for sure.

That is right, God does work in mysterious ways in our lives! I had a privilege to go to Brisil for outreach in fall 2004, and stayed in a small villege about four hours away from Sao Paulo for about two months. I loved Brasil. People, their passion, nature, and especially food…! I am so glad that you are here to know God and what plan God has for you.
