Some of us talked about this video the next week after class, and really came to the conclusion has instantly when watching it we seen the attack on Christianity or religion, however after thinking about it further, we realized that, the reason we seen it was attacking religion is because that is what we are focused on in our life. Someone else however might look at it as addressing something different, for example racisim, sexism, and the list could go on and on. I wonder what was in his mind when he wrote the book, what audience was he really trying to attack?
Josh makes an excellent point. We have to be careful as Christians that we don’t read things into videos,books, movies or whatever that were never intended to be there. If we do we have a tendancy to begin to live life in the defensive. Now I might be wrong about this, but it seems to me that the Bible teaches that we should live life on the offensive.
